Man killed in Magura road accident

A man was killed and another injured after a truck hit their motorcycle in Magura's Sadar upazila on Saturday night. 

The accident took place at around 9:00 PM at the intersection of Joka Madrasha in the upazila. 

The deceased was identified as Ratan Halder, 40, son of Fagirat Halder, a resident of Shialjore village in the upazila.

Eyewitnesses said that a sand laden truck hit their motorcycle in the area, leaving Ratan dead on the spot.
The injured Rasul Mollah was rescued and rushed him to Magura Sadar Hospital.

Police seized the truck but its driver managed to flee, said Aiyub Ali, officer-in-charge of Magura Sadar Police Station.
