Five Bangladesh mission officials of Pakistan, Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and Japan have been withdrawn and instructed to return to Bangladesh.
A notification was issued by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on Sunday (January 12).
The recalled officials are -- Tayab Ali, Counsellor (Press) at the Bangladesh High Commission in Islamabad, Pakistan, Sufi Abdullahil Maruf, First Secretary (Press) at the Bangladesh High Commission in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Arifur Rahman, First Secretary (Press) at the Bangladesh Consulate General Office of Bangladesh in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Asaduzzaman Khan, Second Secretary (Press) at the Bangladesh Embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and Imranul Hasan, Second Secretary (Press) at the Bangladesh Embassy in Tokyo, Japan.
The notification said these officials, who are working in the press wings of Bangladesh missions abroad under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, have been withdrawn and should return home within 15 working days for reappointment.
