The people of Bangladesh have accepted the interim government as legitimate. Now, there can be no dispute on this matter, said the High Court on Monday.

An HC bench, comprising Justice Fatema Najib and Justice Sikder Md Mahmudur Razi, made the observation while hearing a writ petition challenging the oath of the interim government.

The government was formed based on the Supreme Court's opinion under Article 106 of the Constitution.

Senior lawyer Advocate Mohsin Rashid, who filed the writ petition, was present in the court.
