Two motorcyclists were killed and another was injured after a truck ran them over at Siddhirganj upazila in Narayanganj district on Monday afternoon.
The accident took place at around 2:30 PM in front of the Adamjee Export Processing Zone (AEPZ) in the upazila.
The deceased were identified as Suvo, and Imon, residents of Mojibbag area in the upazila.
Rabin, the injured person, said, " We three friends were heading towards Siddhirganj Pull riding on a motorcycle. When, we arrived in the area, the motorcycle collided with an auto-rickshaw, and the duo fell from the motorcycle. At that moment, a truck ran them over leaving them dead on the spot."
On information, police recovered the bodies and sent those to Narayanganj General Hospital morgue for autopsies, said Omor Faruque, inspector of Siddhirganj Police Station.
The driver of the truck has been detained, and the vehicle has also been seized in connection with the incident, the police official added.
