Established in 1948, the mosque was originally built by the late Qazi Ershad Ullah, a resident of Qazi Bari in Mohammadpur Village, who also donated the land for the mosque. In honor of his contribution, the mosque bears his name. Over the past 77 years, the mosque has undergone several renovations to accommodate the growing number of worshippers and meet modern standards.

The new mosque, located in Balua Chowmuhani under Dhalia Union of Feni Sadar Upazila, has been constructed with an emphasis on aesthetic beauty and worship facilities. The main mosque building is situated on five decimals of land and can accommodate 150 to 200 worshippers in seven rows. The entire mosque complex, including the library, Maktab, ablution area, toilets, and a pond, spans 40 decimals of land.

Key features of the mosque include air-conditioning system, ablution and bathroom facilities with convenient and accessible amenities, chandeliers and elegant interiors that enhancing the spiritual atmosphere;  and Maktab and Islamic Library catering to the educational and spiritual needs of the community.

The Islamic library, established by the Islamic Foundation, houses over 200 books and serves as an invaluable resource for young students and local residents. The Maktab, led by Maulana Yasin Habib, educates 30 to 40 children in Islamic studies.

Mohammadpur Kazi Bari is home to renowned families, including the descendants of the Kazi, Mina (Chowdhury), and Shahzadkhani clans. These families have played a vital role in the mosque's establishment and development.

The mosque has a strong management committee led by Acting President Kazi Abul Hayat Bahar and General Secretary Kazi Abdullah Al Mahfuz Azad. Retired Justice Kazi Rezaul Haque serves as the mosque's Matoalli. Maulvi Cherajul Haque, who has been the Khatib for 40 years, continues to guide the community spiritually.

Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) allocated Tk 63 lakh for the construction, with an additional Tk 7 lakh raised through local donations, bringing the total cost to Tk 70 lakh. The founder, Qazi Ershad Ullah, had previously Waqf one acre of land for the mosque, securing its long-term sustainability.

Bir Muktijoddha Momin Chowdhury, an 80-year-old resident of Kazi Bari, shared his sentiments: "We find great peace in praying five times a day at the mosque. It also serves as the center of our religious activities, bringing Muslims of all ages together."

Another resident, Shahzad MA Khosru said that traditionally this mosque has been playing a positive role in religious activities of Muslims, and due to the responsible role of the management committee, the development of the mosque continues. Local residents have also been providing all-out help and support for the development of the mosque.

Khatib Maulvi Cherajul Haque extended an invitation to all Muslims in the area to join regular prayers and expressed his hope that the mosque would serve as a source of salvation for the community.
