Three bodies recovered in three districts

Three people including a woman were found dead in separate incidents in three districts - Sunamganj, Chattogram and Munshiganj.

SUNAMGANJ: Police recovered the decomposed body of a youth with its nose and ears had been severed from a paddy filed in Shantiganj Upazila of the district on Sunday.

The body was discovered in a paddy field in Ukargaon Village under Shimulbak Union of the upazila in the morning. 
The deceased was identified as Monir.

Following the recovery, police have detained three individuals for questioning regarding the incident.

According to police and local sources, Monir was last seen on Saturday evening when two acquaintances called him out of his house. 

When he did not return home overnight, the family members and villagers started searching for him. On Sunday morning, they found his mutilated body in the paddy field and informed police.

Being informed, police recovered the body and sent it to Sunamganj Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
 
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shantiganj Police Station (PS) Md Akram Ali confirmed the incident, saying that the motive behind this brutal murder remains unclear.

However, the law enforcers are investigating the matter and trying to detain those involved in the incident, the OC added.

CHATTOGRAM: Police on Sunday recovered the body of a man with his hands and feet tied and tape wrapped around his eyes and mouth at Khulshi in Chattogram on Sunday. 

The body was recovered from Jhautala Segun Bagan of Khulshi area at around 9:30 am.

The identity of the deceased, aged around 50, could not be known immediately.

It was known that local people spotted the body in that area in the morning and informed the police. 

Being informed, police recovered the body from the scene and sent it to Chattogram Medical College Hospital morgue for an autopsy.

Sub-Inspector (SI) of Khulshi PS Md Belal confirmed the incident, adding that the law enforcers are investigating the matter and trying to identify the deceased.

MUNSHIGANJ: The decomposed body of a woman was recovered from beneath a flyover on Dhaka-Mawa Expressway in Ramer Khola area of Sirajdikhan Upazila in the district on Saturday morning.

The identity of the deceased, aged about 25 to 30 years, could not be known immediately.

Sirajdikhan PS SI Md Noman Siddiqui said that locals found the body of a woman in the area at around 10:30 am and informed the matter to the police.

Being informed, police have recovered the body from the scene.

Police suspected that miscreants might have killed her several days back and dumped the body there.
