Driver killed as TomTom overturned in Patuakhali

A driver of a TomTom was killed and two passengers were injured as the TomTom overturned at Bauphal upazila in Patuakhali district on Monday afternoon. 

The accident took place at around 5:00PM on the Golabari-Kalishura road area in the upazila. 

The deceased was identified as Ridoy Byati, 23, son of Dulal Byati, a resident of Chandrapara village under Madanpur union in the upazila. 

Eyewitnesses said that the TomTom overturned in the area while it was going to Golabari from Bauphal, leaving three people injured including the driver. 
Locals rescued them and took them to the upazila health complex, where the on-duty doctors declared Ridoy dead. 

Md Kamal Hossain, officer-in-charge of Bauphal Police Station, confirmed the matter.
