Blankets were distributed to 550 people including elderly individuals, orphaned children, and indigent students at Bauful upazila in Patuakhali district.
A distribution ceremony was held at the office of private development organization RSC, located at Kalaya port in the upazila, on Tuesday.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Aminul Islam was present as the chief guest at the programme.
IFIC bank, private development organizations DCI and RSC took the initiative jointly.
The Managing director of the organization Dr. Ehsan Hoque, joined the ceremony via a video call. He said, "DCI and RSC are jointly working on the children's education and health. We will continue welfare activities for the poor people in the future. I also express my gratitude to IFIC Bank for supporting this great work."
Md Abdur Rahman, manager of the IFIC bank Patuakhali branch; Md Sirazul Islam, area manager of RSC; Harun-ur-Rashid, a teacher at a secondary school; and Md Muhiuddin, head teacher of a primary school, were also present among others.
