Police beats Wanderers 2-1

Bangladesh Police Football Club registered a 2-1 win over Dhaka Wanderers Club in the Federation Cup Football at the Bashundhara Kings Arena in Dhaka on Tuesday. Mannaf Rabby and Esanur scored in two minutes to pull Police from behind and alter the score on the day. 

It was Dhaka Wanderers Club which was leading the match following a 42-minute goal by Emon. But everything changed in the last six minutes when a combined effort of Rabby and Esanur brough two goals for the Police boys. 

Winger Mannaf Rabby levelled the margin in the 84th minute and returned Police in the match. Esanur Rahman scored the match winning goal in the 86th minute. For his tremendous work, Mannaf Rabby was named the man of the match. 

In the other match of the day, Gopibagh's Brothers Union found a single goal win over Fortis Football Club. A 35-minute goal of Kawsar Ali Rabbi was all that the winners needed to make it theirs. But, none of the winners are in good positions to make it to the next round of the tournament as Fortis and Bashundhara Kings had better points and head-to-head stats. 

Still, Brothers has a chance if they can win the next match against Police and also if Bashundhara lose the last group match.
