3mt of jatka seized in Narayanganj

NARAYANGANJ, Jan 14: Members of Bangladesh Coast Guard (BCG) seized approximately three tones of jatka during a drive at Siddhirganj in the district early Sunday.

It was known that a team of the BCG conducted a drive in Kanchpur Bridge area from 1 am to 6 am, and seized two trucks jatka, which were caught illegally. 

BCG Media Officer Lieutenant Colonel Md Syam-ul-Haque said, "The owners of the seized jatka could not be detained as they were not with the trucks. The seized trucks were released with other fish after keeping the    jatka. The seized jatka was, later, distributed among orphanages and poor    people."
