Fire breaks out at two factories in N'ganj

A fire broke out in two factories in Narayanganj's Siddhirganj on Wednesday morning.

The incident took place around 7:30 am on Wednesday (January 15) in Shantinagar area of Bou Bazar, Godnail.
The fire was brought under control after two hours with the efforts of six units of fire service.

According to fire service, the fire first broke out at a yarn factory in Shantinagar area. The fire then spread to another plastic factory nearby, destroying all products from both factories.

Narayanganj Fire Service Deputy Director Abdul Al Arefin said, "We were able to bring the fire under control in two hours. A total of six units worked. We cannot say for now how the fire started and the extent of the damage.''

However, there were no casualties, he added.
