BSF picks up Bangladeshi from Thakurgaon border

The Indian Border Security Force (BSF) has picked up a Bangladeshi national from the Thakurgaon border on Tuesday evening.

The Bangladeshi man Alimul Rahman,45, son of Dr Rahman of Khulna district, is a retired army official of the 57th Long Course of the Bangladesh Army.

Lieutenant Colonel Md Tanjir Ahmed, commander Thakurgaon 50 Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), said Alimul was picked up at the Beurjhari border in the Baliadangi upazila of the district on Tuesday (January 14) evening by the members of 152 Barabila BSF camp adjacent to pillar number 380.
 
A flag meeting was held in this connection on Wednesday morning between Thakurgaon 50 BGB and BSF.

However, BSF is yet to return Alimul.
