The commission submitted its report with proposals to Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus at his office in Dhaka on Wednesday (January 15) morning.

In its proposals made in report, the commission proposed to abolish the 'People of Bangladesh are Bengali as a nation.' They (citizens of Bangladesh) will be known as 'Bangladeshis' as per Article 6 (2) of the constitution.

Besides, the Constitution Reform Commission has proposed to change the constitutional name of Bangladesh into 'Janaganatantri.' It has proposed to rename 'People's Republic of Bangladesh' into 'Janaganatantri Bangladesh.'
