Actor Saif Ali Khan is in the hospital after being attacked at his residence by an unidentified intruder during an attempted burglary.
In an official statement, the actors team confirmed the incident, stating, there was an attempted burglary at Mr Saif Ali Khans residence around 2AM on Thursday. He was stabbed two to three times and is currently in hospital undergoing a surgery.
"We request the media and fans to be patient. It is a police matter. We will keep you updated on the situation."
The motive behind the attack is believed to be robbery. A probe has been launched by the Mumbai Police to trace the accused and ensure his arrest.
