One dies from electrocution in Lalmonirhat

A man died after being electrocuted in Lalmonirhat's Kaliganj upazila on Thursday.

The dead was identified as Abu Bakkar Siddique, 45, a resident of Sundrahabi village under Tushbhandar union of the upazila.
Locals said Abu Bakkar came in contact with an electric wire of an irrigation pump while he was working at a neighboring village, leaving him injured.

Locals rescued him and took to Kaliganj Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.

Kaliganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Selim Malik confirmed the matter.
