Interim government's Chief Adviser Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus has said the July Proclamation will generate courage in the mind of all if it can be declared together.
Besides, the country will be surprised.
Otherwise, its objective will be affected. If it cannot be declared unitedly reaching a consensus, there is no need to declare it.
The Chief Adviser made the remarks in his introductory speech at the all-party meeting at Foreign Service Academy in the capital on Thursday (January 16).
Addressing the political parties and stakeholders, Professor Yunus said: "Whenever we try to do anything important, we find ourselves isolated. Then we feel ourselves weak. But, when we meet you, we feel courage in mind. We were born in this unity and unity is our strength."
Regarding the July Proclamation, he said students approached him and sought a proclamation from the government. "Then I told them of declaring the proclamation inviting all political parties, because we will have to recreate the August 5 for it. And, it is not possible without all. Otherwise, August 5 will be humiliated. Students were not happy over my assurances though they understood the matter later on. Since then, we have been discussing how we can declare the proclamation together."
Professor Yunus further said it would be better for the country if the proclamation could be declared unanimously. Besides, it will carry much weight internationally.
"We want to convey a message to the countrymen and the world through the July Proclamation," he said.
