Housewife commits suicide in Rajbari

A housewife committed suicide by hanging herself with a ceiling at Goalanda upazila in Rajbari district on Thursday noon.

The incident happened at Mistri para under West Tenapacha area in the upazila.

The deceased was identified as Popi, 30, wife of Alamin, a resident of the area.

It was learnt that Popi hanged herslef with a ceiling in a ten shed house in the area when she was alone in the room. Her husband found her in hanging condition and screamed. Later, locals broke into the room and get down her.

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to a hospital morgue for an autopsy, said Rakibul Islam, officer-in-charge of Goalanda Police Station.
