UCB Investment closes Tk 5,000 million subordinated bond for Shahjalal Islami Bank

UCB Investment Limited has successfully closed 3rd Mudaraba Subordinated Bond of BDT 5,000 million, issued by Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC. 

The closing ceremony for this significant achievement took place at the headquarter of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC in Dhaka on Wednesday, says a press release. 

UCB Investment Limited, the best investment bank of Bangladesh, proudly acted as the sole Placement Agent for the recently concluded bond. The funds raised through this bond will enhance the Tier-II Capital of ShahjalalIslami Bank PLC, enabling the bank to broaden its business.

The ceremony was honored by the presence of Mohammed Younus, Vice Chairman, Akkas Uddin Mollah, EC Chairman, Nasir Uddin Ahmed, Independent Director and AC Chairman, and Mosleh Uddin Ahmed, Managing Director and CEO of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC. Tanzim Alamgir, Founding Managing Director and CEO of UCB Investment Ltd, Abdul Aziz, Additional Managing Director and Chief Business Officer, and Md Jafar Sadeq, Chief Financial Officer of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC, along with other senior officials from both organisations, also attended the event.
