Four more women to play Bhutanese league

After Masura Parvin and Rupna Chakma, four more women footballers from Bangladesh are getting the chance to play in the Bhutanese domestic football league. Bhutan Premier League club Paro Football Club has already signed contracts with Sabina Khatun, Matsushima Sumaiya, Monica Chakma, and Rituparna Chakma.

Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) has given clearance to these four footballers to play in the foreign league. Therefore, a total of six women had signed to play for the Bhutan Premier League this season. The Bhutanese domestic women's football league is scheduled to start on 15 April.

Two Bangladeshi footballers Masura Parvin and Rupna Chakma were included in the squad of Transport United Football Club. The two were previously cleared by the Bangladesh FF to play there. They are to leave for Thimphu on the sixth of April. 

All of them will join the BFF Residential Camp after the Eid vacation and will board a flight to Thimphu on the same day. BFF Women's Wing Chairperson Mahfuza Akhter Kiron said, "These footballers will join the BFF residential camp on 6 April. They are scheduled to leave for Bhutan on the same day. However, if we can change the flight, then six footballers, including Sabina, will join the Bhutanese club after practising in Dhaka for a few days. And if we can't, no problem from our end. Because they will practice and play when the league starts. Hopefully, there will be no problem. We will call them back before our tournament."

In the meantime, criticism is going on as BFF failed to pay the woman booters' salary and Eid bonus before the Eid vacation.
