IU ‘D’ unit admission to begin on June 29

Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia will begin the admission process for its ‘D’ unit first-year honours programmes under the 2024–25 academic session on June 29, according to an official notice released Saturday.

The notice, signed by Professor Dr. ABM Siddiqur Rahman Asrafi, Dean of the Faculty of Theology and Islamic Studies and Coordinator of the unit, outlines the full admission schedule and requirements.

Students selected in the first merit list will be admitted from June 29  to July 1 during office hours at the coordinator’s office on the 4th floor of the faculty building. Candidates must pay the required admission fees by 6 July to confirm their seats.

If seats remain vacant, second merit list interviews will be held on July 14 and July 15, with the admission deadline set for July 16. 

A third merit list may be issued later based on seat availability and will be announced on the university website: www.iu.ac.bd.

Applicants must bring the following documents during admission:

1. The original admit card of the admission test signed by the exam hall invigilator

2. Original and photocopies of SSC and HSC admit cards, registration cards, mark sheets, and certificates (or a testimonial from the last institution attended)

3. Eight recent passport-sized colour photographs

The university has advised candidates to strictly follow the schedule and instructions to avoid cancellation of admission.
