Bangladesh women coping with condition

Bangladesh women's national football team skipper Afeida Khandaker said that they were coping with the condition of Myanmar after reaching the Southeast Asian country which recently became topic of discussion due to the ongoing conflicts, civil war, and Rohingya genocide. 

Previously, the Bangladesh skipper said that they were eyeing the Asian top places amid the Myanmar round of the AFC Women's Asian Cup, qualifiers.  

There, Bangladesh will lock horns with hosts Myanmar, Bahrain, and Turkmenistan. The women in red and green will play their first match on 29 June against Bahrain in Yangon. 

Freshly, Myanmar which has a significant coastline along the northern and eastern edges of the Bay of Bengal, as well as the Andaman Sea is suffering from heavy rain for a few days. 

The British head coach of Bangladesh women Peter Butler wanted the booters to be familiar with the ongoing condition and had them participate in a practice session on Thursday. 

After the practice, Bangladesh women's national football team skipper Afeida Khandaker Preeti said, "We had our first practice session today after reaching Myanmar. We practiced hard as per our coach's instructions, and everyone in the team are in good spirit." 

She added, it was not bad to participate in the practice session while it was raining. It was a good opportunity to cope with the condition."

Assistant Coach Mahmuda Akter said, "We are in good shape after reaching Myanmar. Although we could not practice yesterday (Wednesday) due to heavy rain, we were busy in gymnasium. Today (Thursday), we decided to conduct the session in rain and it was good."

The session took place from 7:00 to 9:00 AM (local time) at Training Field-1 in Yangon, Myanmar. The sessions will continue as per schedule.
