Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has fallen ill due to food poisoning but is reported to be gradually recovering. According to his office, the 75-year-old leader will rest at home and continue managing state affairs remotely over the next three days, Reuters reported.

Netanyahu reportedly felt unwell last night, and medical examinations revealed intestinal inflammation and dehydration. He is currently receiving intravenous fluids.

The statement from his office said, “Following doctors’ advice, the Prime Minister will rest at home for three days while overseeing government duties.”

Netanyahu’s medical history includes the implantation of a pacemaker in 2023 and prostate removal surgery last December to treat a urinary tract infection.
