Veteran cricketer Mushfiqur Rahim switched to Sylhet Division from Rajshahi to play the upcoming NCL T20 tournament, scheduled to start from October 14 at three venues of the country.

Mushfiqur earlier requested the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) to slot him in Sylhet instead of Rajshahi. However the outcome was confirmed as Sylhet announced the squad for the tournament on Thursday.

Zakir Hasan will lead Sylhet that also included several national cricketers like Ebadot Hossain, Syed Khaled Ahmed.

The likes of Nasum Ahmed, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Jaker Anik was kept stand by as they are now the part of Bangladesh's Asia Cup. After returning home from Asia Cup, they will play some matches.

In fact all divisions kept the current national players in standby list so that they could be included into the team directly once the Asia Cup ends.

Alongside Sylhet, Barishal Division also announced their squad today. They didn't have big names in their squad apart from left-arm spinner Tanvir Islam.

Sohag Gazi who was once a crucial member of the national team also got his place in Barishal squad.

Former national skipper Mohammad Ashraful will act as the coach of Barishal.
