NAGESHWARI, KURIGRAM, Oct 17: No students from three colleges in Nageshwari passed the HSC examination. The colleges are Kuti Poyradanga School and College, Samaj Kalyan Mohila College, and Chilakhana Model College.
These three institutions have not yet been MPO-listed. The Upazila Secondary Education Office has confirmed the matter.
According to field sources, from Kuti Poyradanga School and College, established in 2013 in the municipal area, three students participated for the first time this year. From Samaj Kalyan Mahila College, established in 2003, one student participated, and from Chilakhana Model College, established in 2000 in Dhani Gagla, Santoshpur Union, six candidates participated in this year's HSC examination. The results were published on October 16. It was found that none of the students from these institutions passed.
Regarding this, the Acting Principal of Kuti Poyradanga School and College Shamsul Haque said, "It is a new institution, so this happened."
The Acting Principal of Chilakhana Model College Harun-ur-Rashid, said, "Last year, the results of this institution were good; 13 students took the exam, and 7 passed. This year, the six students who took the exam did not even want to fill out the forms. They were called from their homes and made to fill out the forms."
The Acting Principal of Samaj Kalyan Mahila College, Ashraful Alam, said, "As the institution has not been MPO-listed for a long time, many teachers have left the institution. That is why this happened."
Upazila Secondary Education Officer Kamrul Islam stated that the matter will be investigated and a report will be sent to the relevant department.
