Islamic University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Nakib Mohammad Nasrullah has said on Sunday that a university cannot be recognised if its teachers fail to teach.
“A university is defined by teaching and research. Without
active faculty engagement, it cannot fulfill its core purpose.”
He made the remarks while speaking as the chief guest
and resource person at a training programme on ‘Office Management and
Professional Skill Development’, organised by the Institutional Quality
Assurance Cell (IQAC).
The programme began in the
IQAC conference room on the 4th floor of the Central Library building of the university around 10:00 AM.
He underscored the importance of effective administration and management, cautioning that poor governance can undermine even the best initiatives. “Globally, two key responsibilities define institutional success: management and leadership,” he said.
Nasrullah further urged officers to actively enhance their competence for both personal growth and institutional development. “Serving the institution is a moral, human, and religious duty. No training can succeed unless the mind and heart are aligned, and the right mindset is established first,” he added.
Presided over by IQAC Director Professor Dr. Muhammad Nazimuddin, IU Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. M. Yeaqub Ali spoke here as the special guest.
IQAC Additional Director Professor Dr. Sheikh Mohammad Abdur Rouf conducted the programme attended by a total of 60 officers from various university offices and departments.
