Workshop on rural road development held in Panchagarh

PANCHAGARH, Nov 19: A workshop focused on determining the core road network and prioritising rural roads was held in the district. 

The event, organized by the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED), took place on Monday afternoon in the hall of the Panchagarh Sadar Upazila Parishad.

During the workshop, a draft of the proposed core road network was presented via a documentary film and projector. Following discussions with public representatives, a decision was reached to include eight roads from Panchagarh Sadar Upazila into the core network.

Executive Engineer of Panchagarh LGED Mahmud Zaman presided over the programme as the chief guest. Other notable attendees included  Zakir Hossain, Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer;  Mohan Minji, Assistant Commissioner of the Sadar Land Office; Abdullah Hill Zaman, Officer-in-Charge of Sadar Police Station; Ramzan Ali, LGED Sadar Upazila Engineer; and  Mahfuzur Rahman, GIS Analyst from Bates.
