Ahead of the upcoming national parliamentary elections and referendum, police will issue comprehensive security protocols for all political parties. The guidelines will instruct leaders and potential candidates on ensuring safety at their residences, offices, during movement, at public rallies, and online.

Initiatives have also been taken to provide enhanced security to frontline leaders of the mass uprising and other key political figures, according to the Chief Adviser's Press Wing on Sunday.

The Press Wing confirmed that the police have already identified the attacker and accomplices involved in the assault on Sharif Osman Hadi, spokesperson of Inqilab Mancha and a potential independent candidate from the Dhaka-8 constituency. Law enforcement agencies continue intensive operations to apprehend those responsible. The motorcycle used in the attack has been seized, and fingerprint examinations of the suspects are underway.

To prevent the prime suspect from fleeing the country, photographs and identifying information were circulated to all immigration checkpoints on Friday night. Patrols by the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have also been strengthened along border areas.

The Press Wing noted that while the suspects' locations have been identified multiple times within the country, their frequent movement has so far prevented arrest.

Authorities have also tracked the prime suspect's travel history, revealing trips to several countries over recent years under the identity of an IT businessman. His most recent overseas travel was to Singapore on July 21. Several other individuals suspected of involvement in the attack have been placed under surveillance.
