On Thursday around noon, he received the nomination paper from Sreemangal Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Islam Uddin.

Present at the time were Alaudddin Shah, President of Moulvibazar District Workers' Welfare Federation; Maulana Ismail Hossain, Ameer of Sreemangal Upazila Jamaat; Md Masuk Ahmad, Ameer of Kamalganj Upazila Jamaat; Nayeb-e-Ameer Amirul Islam Koyser; Advocate Kamrul Islam, Secretary; Ashraful Islam Kamrul, Sreemangal Upazila Secretary; Assistant Secretary Tarek Mahfuz; and Sofiz Uddin, President of Sreemangal Upazila Islami Chhatra Shibir, along with leaders and activists of Jamaat and its affiliated bodies.

Speaking to journalists after collecting the papers, Advocate Abdur Rab said, "The people of this country want a free, fair, neutral and participatory election. If that expectation is fulfilled, InshaAllah we will win in Moulvibazar-4. We are one hundred percent confident."

He added that the region has long been deprived of development, justice and good governance. "If elected, I will strive to build Sreemangal and Kamalganj into an ideal constituency free of discrimination, corruption and injustice, and based on humanity," he said.

The Jamaat candidate further remarked, "Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has always stood by the people in establishing fundamental rights, the rule of law, justice and good governance. We believe not in the politics of power, but in the politics of service."

Calling for equal opportunities for all political parties in the electoral field, he urged the administration to act impartially. "If the administration fulfills its constitutional duties properly, the people will have the chance to elect their true representatives," he said.
