Dr Victor Pogadaev (Russia)

 
Born in 1946, in Russia, Victor Pogadaev is a poet, author, and translator; Senior Lecturer at the Institute of Asian and African Studies, M V Lomonosov Moscow State University since 2001, Lecturer of Russian Language and Russian Culture at the University iof Malaya (Kuala Lumpur, since 2003); editorial board member of 'Pendeta', the journal 'Folklore and Folkloristics' (India), and International Review of Humanities Studies (Faculty of Humanities Universitas Indonesia); named among 100 leading educationists of the year in 2009 and 2011 by 'International Biographical Centre' (Cambridge); winner of the Third All-Union competition of student research papers (1970), 'Prima Komeksindo' Award (1998), 2 bronze medals at the University Exhibition of Research, Invention and Innovation (Malaysia, 2007), International Prize 'NUMERA' (2013), and many more.

The translator is not merely a translator, rather a co-author as he/she has to shift the original spirit to a new body while translating," Pogadaev pours down his feelings being in Bangladesh.
