In a measured step towards strengthening the foundations of Football in the port city, the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Narayanganj Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI), formally assigning the body to oversee grassroots football development in Narayanganj district.

The agreement, signed in line with BFF's regulatory framework, outlines a collaborative roadmap to identify emerging talent, expand organised football activities and create a structured pathway for aspiring players at the local level. The initiative underscores a deliberate shift towards decentralised development, empowering districts to become nurseries of the sport.

Senior officials from both organisations were present at the signing ceremony. BFF was represented by Vice President and Marketing Committee Chairman Fahad Karim, Executive Committee members Golam Gaus and Kamrul Hasan Hilton, General Secretary Emran Hossain Tushar, as well as Futsal Committee members Saidul Amin and Irfan Islam.

Leading the NCCI delegation were President Mostafizur Rahman Bhuiyan (Dipu), MP, Senior Vice President Md Morshed Sarwar (Sohel), and Director Riyad Mohammad Chowdhury. Under the terms of the MoU, the Chamber will work in coordination with the federation to implement sustainable grassroots programmes, ensuring systematic talent scouting and developmental activities designed to strengthen the football pyramid from its base.
