Fugitive kingpin held with arms in Khulna

A fugitive most wanted criminal was arrested by Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-6 in Khulna. 

The arrest was made around 5 PM on Thursday at local Koia Bazar area under Harintana Police Station jurisdiction.

The arrested is Sujon, a resident of Shalua Bazar area of the upazila. 

A press release from RAB-6 has confirmed the detention on Friday, adding that Sujon is charged in multiple cases, including murder, firearms, robbery etc. 

The press release also reads that acting on a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted a raid in the local and arrested Sujon. 

Following Sujon's confession, the RAB team also  recovered a locally-made shotgun, a shooter gun, five rounds of short-round ammunition and two rounds of 7.62 mm bullets from his possession, said Major Md. Nazmul Islam, company commander, CPSC, RAB-6 Khulna.

He was later handed over to Arang Ghata Police Station and such operations will continue to establish the rule of law in the area, added the RAB official.
