Dhaka reaffirms support for 2-state solution

Bangladesh reaffirmed its steadfast support for the just cause of Palestine and the brotherly Palestinian people and reiterated its consistent position in favour of a two-State solution, as well as peace and stability in the Middle East.

State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shama Obaed Islam conveyed the Bangladesh’s position to the Ambassador of Palestine to Bangladesh Yousef Ramadan while he paid a courtesy call on the State Minister at her office on Sunday.

State Minister warmly welcomed the Ambassador and conveyed gratitude to the Palestinian leadership for their felicitations to the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) on its victory in the 13th Parliamentary Election and the formation of the government.
Both sides also discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Palestine.
