Stocks extended its recovery streak for the third consecutive session on Thursday, supported by continued bargain hunting in major stocks amid attractive valuations.
The broad index, DSEX, of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) advanced by 41.7 points to close at 5,264 points, up from 5,222 points in the previous trading session, according to BSS report.
Market analysts said investors remained active from the opening bell, building on the previous session's late buying momentum, which helped most listed securities close higher.
Meanwhile, the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also closed higher. The Selective Categories' Index (CSCX) rose by 34.2 points, while the All Share Price Index (CASPI) gained 21.3 points.
