Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has visited the family of slain child Ramisa at their residence in the city's Pallabi.

The Prime Minister's motorcade arrived at the house at 9:52 PM on Thursday, reports BSS.

He entered the residence and spoke with Ramisa's parents, staying there for around 18 minutes.

During the visit, the grief-stricken father of Ramisa, Abdul Hannan Molla, broke down into tears while speaking with the Prime Minister.

Ramisa's mother and sister also became emotional and the Prime Minister consoled them.

The Prime Minister affectionately placed his hand on the head of Ramisa's elder sister, Raisa Akter and comforted her. Ramisa's mother, who was sitting beside her daughter, also burst into tears.

Prime Minister's Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Ruman said that Ramisa's father told the Prime Minister, "We lost our daughter because we live in an unhealthy environment. We want to live in a better place with our elder daughter." In response, the Prime Minister said, "Alright, I will look into arranging a better living environment for you."

He also said that the Prime Minister provided financial assistance to Ramisa's father.

According to the Prime Minister's Press Wing, the Prime Minister has also taken responsibility for the education and future support of Ramisa's elder sister, Raisa Akter.

At the time, Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed assured the family that the charge sheet in the case would be submitted quickly and that all possible support would be given to the court to ensure speedy justice.

Law Minister Md Asaduzzaman, State Minister for Sports Aminul Haque, Prime Minister's Defense Adviser AKM Shamsul Islam and Dhaka North City Corporation Administrator Md Safiqul Islam Khan were present.

Police recovered the dismembered body of eight-year-old Ramisa from an apartment in Pallabi on Tuesday morning.

Ramisa, a second-grade student of Mirpur Popular Model School, was brutally murdered, sparking protests among her classmates and local residents.

Outside the Prime Minister's security perimeter, demonstrators demanded speedy justice and the death penalty for the killers.

Police arrested the main accused in the murder case, tenant Sohel Rana, along with his wife. According to police statements, Sohel Rana confessed before the court under Section 164.
