Tourists to Tanguar Haor should be capped

Dear Sir,
Uncontrolled tourism has affected Tanguar Haor, one of Bangladesh’s most important wetlands and a Ramsar Site.

Tanguar Haor, located in Sunamganj, is renowned for its natural beauty, rich biodiversity, and thousands of migratory birds that visit every winter. However, the increasing number of tourists has created serious environmental challenges. Loud music, excessive boat traffic, and irresponsible behavior are disturbing wildlife and destroying the peaceful atmosphere for which the haor is famous.

Therefore, I urge the concerned authorities to regulate tourist activities, enforce strict anti-pollution measures, and promote environmentally responsible tourism. Public awareness is also essential to protect this invaluable natural heritage.
