Bangladesh has called for a more democratic and non-discriminatory global labour system and urged the international community to create new jobs in least developed and climate-vulnerable countries.

Speaking at the 114th International Labour Conference of the International Labour Organization (ILO) on Tuesday, Minister Ariful Haque Chowdhury highlighted the government's labour reforms and stressed the need to protect workers from the growing challenges posed by AI, conflict and climate change.

While speaking on behalf of Bangladesh at the main session of the conference in Geneva, Switzerland he also highlighted reforms made in Bangladesh's labour sector.
