Human brains must win over artificial intelligence

The world witnessed the horror of World War I and II in the early and mid twentieth century where more than sixty million people were perished over the period. The World War 2 ended with nuclear holocaust unleashed by America on two Japanese cities---Hiroshima and Nagasaki---where more than hundred thousand people were perished instantly with thousands of others maimed and disabled for life time.
The mother earth with seven billion people is now in constant fear and trauma for being burdened with several thousand nuclear warheads stored in the nuclear silos of USA, Russia, France, Great Britain, China, India, Pakistan, North Korea and Israel (Clandestine). The total numbers of nuclear warheads, if detonated in world war III (God forbids), are well enough to destroy the human race once for all living no trace of human civilization.
When he was asked to say what kind of weapon would be used in World War 4 should there be any such war in future, Albert Einstein, with sardonic smile, said that stones will be used in world war 4, because after the ravage of world war 3, where nuclear weapons would be used, the world would be returned to the era of Stone Age. Eminent scientist and Lucasian professor of theoretical physics at Cambridge, Stephen Hawking suggested mankind to find a suitable alternative safe home elsewhere in the solar system or its beyond in next one hundred years time for survival of the human race, which is likely to be destroyed on planet earth due to impending internecine wars and conflicts.
Hawking has further expressed his deep concern and warned mankind not to be so dependent on Artificial Intelligence (AI) which, if goes unabated and uncontrolled, will ultimately devour mankind the way Frankenstein's monster wanted to devour its creator. Viewing incredible capacities of the monsters in creating wonders one after another and sensing the impending danger of being devoured, Frankenstein ultimately destroyed the monster before it could gobble him.
Intelligence exhibited by machine is called Artificial Intelligence. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is applied when a machine mimics 'cognitive' functions that humans associate with other human minds, such as 'learning' and problem solving known as machine learning 'The AI field draws upon computer science, mathematics, psychology, neuroscience and artificial psychology, The field was founded on the claim that human intelligence can be so precisely described that a machine can be made, to simulate it.
The present millennium is the millennium of all wonders of scientific and technological splendours. In last one hundred years, or more precisely in last fifty years, scientific achievements scaled all human expectations in most commendable pace and rhythm. Wonders of science which could not be dreamt of fifty years ago is now the reality and in the grip of mankind.
Humans expectations and concomitant achievements are both soaring at the geometrical rate and progression and the limit is only far beyond the skies. With utilizing less than ten percent capacity of the brain, humans landed on the surface of the Moon 48 years ago and expected to land on Mars in estimated year 2040. Apparently an arid land, in red planet Mars, men are not likely to meet and gossip with the Green Martian which UFP enthusiasts imagined in their fantasy long time ago, rather they will carry out multifarious scientific experiments to decipher the mystery of the planet and its beyond.
Flying machines so far designed and launched including space probe Cassini having successfully orbited planet Saturn and its Moon are now cruising into deep space by applying the technique of AI in search of extra terrestrial intelligence. A recent scientific finding suggests that seven Earth-like planets are in orbits in a planetary system of an alien star where life is likely exist, with drawing a conclusion that our home galaxy--- the Milky Way may be populated with tens of billions of worlds like ours.
Back to civilized world, people not so circumspect in reasoning and scientific orientation; equally busy in engaging AI in the day-to-day activities of life. Hundred years ago Albert Einstein had no other tools or gadgets other than only Blackboard, Chalk-stick and Duster in his way to make an spectacular achievements in generating his brain child equation E=Mc2, widely discussed and rarely understood as David Duncan Professor of theoretical physics at Cornell University Dr. Carl Sagan observed, which still dominates the world of modern physics and govern the law of nature in the pursuit of understanding the nature, size and characteristic feature of the Universe around us.
Computers and super computers having meticulously examined every nuances of Einstein's brain storming theory of relativity and its equation could not discover any lapses or follies in the equation over the years even in infinitesimal proportion, which clearly testifies the veracity of fact that human intelligence, no matter it is of Blackboard-Duster era, has no parallel with any other artificial intelligence.
In factories, shops and other utility services, robots are being used with AI. Robots are being equally engaged in hazardous factory work and in the battle fields to sweep mines from the ground. Drones are being used to drop bombs and missiles very precisely on enemy targets without fail. Reconnaissance aircrafts are being used to carry out spy works over enemy territory. High precision cameras are being mounted in high altitudes orbiting satellites to zoom the specific areas on earth inch by inch to detect and make nuances of the area visible on eagle's eye-view.
Under-water cameras are being sent deep into the bottom of the ocean to browse the ocean floor in bits and pieces still shrouded in mystery. In our day to day life, it has become a common feature to watch how efficiently computers on lap-top and palm-top smart-phones can process data and exchange picture images to and from the distant destination in a fraction of time. We can watch how our young children remain engrossed over smart phones and slide their fingers constantly left and right, up and down over the screen day and night engaging their brain deeply occupied and fixing their gazes without taking notice of anything within their surroundings by utilizing the technique of AI.
It is warned that too much dependency on AI is likely to destroy the creative faculty of mind and promote a robotic mind instead in dealing in the fine values of life. Emotions and other tender values of life blended with intelligence are only imbued in human being by virtue of which human have reached such a height of being called the crown of creation. It is no denying the fact AI has brought about magic and incredible success in scientific and technological advancement of this millennium. Mankind has walked miles to reach the peak of such technological success by utilizing AI.
There is no point of going back in the journey at its own pace of forward marching. AI must flourish in its journey but not by demeaning human intelligence which is original and indestructible, with still more than 90 per cent capacity of the brain remained unutilized and reserved. Attempt to let override human intelligence by AI is an internecine project, will ultimately call for revisit of Stone Age with all fuels of brains alarmingly exhausted. Human intelligence must triumph over AI at the end of the day. Good sense must also prevail in all of us in preserving the supremacy of human
intelligence and human race as well.r
