Natore dwellers reaping benefits from land record digitisation

NATORE, Mar 5: The inhabitants of the district are now getting fruitful results of online services by the Land Record Room. They are now getting their land records sitting at home.
The papers of settlement records are being sent at home after executing the online application within a week. For this, money being spent is only Taka 70/-.
According to sources at the administration, an application for getting required land records can be sent to the digital centre of 52 Union Parishad or poura-digital centre or to 7 Upazila Parishad digital centre, depositing a fixed fee; the applicant will get the settlement records sitting at home by post-office within a week from the date of submitting the application.
Mousumy Zerin Kanta, officer-in-charge of Record room and executive magistrate, informed that on an average 150 settlement records of land are supplied everyday. But records cannot be possible to be supplied if there is any wrong and incomplete information found in the application. In this connection, the applicant is informed of the matter of wrong information.
Sohel Rana Rinku, an inhabitant of Alaipur Mahalla of Natore town, said that he got  the records of his land from the Upazila digital centre by a post peon after three days of submitting the application. He became surprised and happy for this action of the digital centre.
Saiful Islam, a farmer of village Boro-Shaoil, said there is no need to contact broker any more for this work. The records now come at home if application is submitted.
Deputy Commissioner Shahina Khatun informed that it is possible to remove all irregularities and people's sufferings through online service system. The people are getting service sitting at home now.
This service will be strengthened after modernisation of the record room, she added.
