Aynabaji will be remade by an Indian film production company claims Gausul Alam Shawon, script writer of the film. The new film to be made in South India will have to include "A remake of Bangladeshi film Aynabaji" in its opening credit as condition set by Content Matters the Dhaka-based company of Amitabh Reza Chowdhury that produced the film. Sri Lakhmi Prasanna Pictures will remake the film. Amitabh Reza Chowdhury, director of Aynabaji commented about the copyright contract with the firm on Prothom Alo saying, the deal will be finalised within three days. He also said that the makers of the proposed remake possibly saw the film when it was screened last November in the Goa International Film Festival.
Apart from celebrated actors Chanchal Chowdhury and debutant Masuma Rahman Nabila, singer Partha Barua also appeared in leading roles in the movie. Lutfur Rahman George, Hira Chowdhury, Shawkat Osman and Gausul Alam Shawon have also acted in the movie. The songs of the movie heralds contribution from musical icons Arnob, Chirkut, Habib Wahid, Fuad Al Muqtadir and more.
Aynaabazi is a psychological thriller encompassing the life of a prodigious actor. This actor Ayna (Chanchal) can blend into any role any personality using his natural talent. The film also shed light on the stark realities of present day Dhaka city.
Whereas it has been typical of modern movies and telefilms to show only the progressive and otherwise poverty-stricken side of Dhaka, most have shied away from depicting the conniving cunning side of it. Aynaabazi tried to reflect upon the true picture the city suffers from in modern times.
