Kamrul Hasan new IPPNW VP

Vice-Chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Prof Kamrul Hassan Khan was selected as the Vice President of International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War (IPPNW), said a press release on Wednesday.
His nomination was confirmed at the closing day of IPPNW World Congress held at 4-6 September, 2017 at the University of York, United Kingdom.
IPPNW is a non-partisan federation of national medical groups in 63 countries, representing doctors, and medical students, other health workers, and concerned people who share the common goal of creating a more peaceful and secure world free from the threat of nuclear annihilation.
IPPNW was awarded
the Nobel Peace Prize in 1985.
IPPNW affiliates are national medical organisations with a common commitment to the abolition of nuclear weapons and prevention of war.
