The Local Government Division (LGD) on Wednesday was given first prize from the Liberation War Affairs Ministry for its excellent display in the Victory Day parade on December 16 last.
The parade was held at the National Parade Ground at Agargaon in the capital.
The Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports and The Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) Affairs got second and third prizes respectively among the Ministries and Divisions.
Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque handed over the prizes to the high officials of Ministries concerned when LGD Secretary Abdul Malek received the crest from the Minister at his office, said a press release.
High officials on behalf of two other ministries also received the crests.
