Sohan wants to meet team's need
The two new faces of the first T20 squad for Zimbabwe series are pacer Abu Hider Rony and wicketkeeper batsman Nurul Hasan Sohan talked to the media on Wednesday, Rony said he tries to be a bowling all-rounder while Sohan said he wants to meet the team's need.
Rony is the best discover of this edition of BPL. He has brightened with the ball taking 21 wickets and also showed his shots playing abilities.
After the practice of the national team on Wednesday Rony was asked, does he think himself as a bowling all-rounder.
To answer the question Rony said, "I'm trying to be something like that (blowing all-rounder). I may try more with the batting. Then I will think myself as bowling all-rounder."
He also informed coach praised his batting saying, "Coach congratulated me. He told Sohan, Mosaddek and me that we batted well in BPL. It will be better if we can continue it."
It is known to all that the better performers of the T20 series may get chance in the Asia Cup and World T20 squad.
He said, "This is in my mind. The better performers of the series may get chance in the Asia Cup and T20 WC squad. I performed very well in BPL. I will try to keep it up and will try to perform well for the country. If I get chance I will try to cement my place."
Sohan also did quite well in BPL and is a regular performer in the domestic cricket. Sohan said he wants to meet the need of the team if he gets chance.
He said, "Every game is challenging not only the T20. I like to play taking challenge. I have no problem to bat any position where I will get opportunity to meet the team's need. If I can contribute one run in team's win it will be my great achievement."
Sohan also said he is focusing to play better.
"I am feeling great as I have been call in the national team for the first time. Now my target is to play better. I am focusing my game so that I can do better in the next tournaments," he added.
Though both the players are waiting for their national debut, they are not thinking much about that. Both of them said if the management consider them as worthy for the best eleven they will try to deliver their best.
Bangladesh have two big tournaments after the Zimbabwe series. But Soahan thinks all matches are equal to him.
He said, "All matches are equal. The Zimbabwe series is also a big tournament as we have the chance to go ahead in ranking. My target is to play well if I get chance."
However, both the players dream to play the World Cup for Bangladesh and want to make it happen through hard work.
