One person died from Covid-19 and nine new coronavirus cases were recorded in 24 hours till 8am on Monday.
According to a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), the total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country is currently 29,445 and the death rate stands at 1.45 per cent.
The release mentioned that the daily positivity rate is 0.45 per cent while the total positivity rate stands at 13.34 per cent. A total of 2,022 samples were tested across the country during this period.
With the new infections, the total number of cases rose to 20,37,688, the release added.
At least 333 Covid-19 patients have recovered within this time. The total number of recoveries now stands at 19,97,504 and the recovery rate at 98.03 percent, said the release.
The deceased was a man aged between 71-80 years old, the release added .
