Bangladesh earns $47.47 billion in first 10 months of current fiscal


Bangladesh's export earnings amounted to 47.47 US dollars in the first 10 months (July-April) of the current fiscal of 2023-2024, registering a growth of 3.93 percent, according to the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB).

Releasing the latest official statistics, the EPB on Sunday (May 5) said the country fetched US$47,471.77 million from exports during July-April period of the current fiscal.
Of the total exports earnings in the first 10 months, the country fetched US$40.49 billion from exports of ready-made garments, including knitwear and woven.

Bangladesh shipped goods worth US$3.92 billion in April, which was 0.99 per cent lower than the same month a year ago.

The country set its export earning target at US$62 billion, including over US$52 billion from ready-made garment exports in the 2023-24 fiscal.
