While Dhaka Attack roars in box office, one of its amazing cast, ABM Sumon shares some insight about his lifestyle and work.
What about your role in Dhaka Attack attracted you?
SWAT
(Special Weapon and Tactics), this name itself was enough to attract
me. I play the character of a commander of SWAT Force. I said yes to
this role as soon as it was offered to me.
What kind of roles do you prefer to play?
I don't have any specific. However, actions films call out to me more. So, I guess I am more comfortable in it.
What about acting do you like the most?
To get out of one dream and get into another one. This is the prime pleasure of acting to me.
Describe yourself in one word
Simple.
Other passions
Body-building and sports.
Favorite sport
Rugby. Unfortunately, this is a sport that people here don't play. Secondly, I like cricket as well.
Greatest strength
I
never quit. If I set my mind onto anything, I work hard to become as
skillful as I need to be and go through all the procedures to achieve
it. No matter how hard it becomes, I always keep going to my direction.
Your weakness
I am not short-tempered generally. However, when I see irrelevance, impropriety or disharmony, I do become short-tempered.
What scares you the most?
Depression.
What makes you happy?
Spending time with my family.
Favourite food
Steak.
Favourite outfit
Shorts, basketball hats and shoes etc.
Favourite tourist spot
Cox's Bazar.
Does that mean you like sea more than mountains?
No.
I like the combination of both. It is like whenever I go out on tours,
say Sylhet or Cox's Bazar, I travel during the rainy season because I
love the combination of rain, sea and mountain. So, I don't like any of
these that much individually. They all have to be combined.
Favourite colour
In
terms of colours, I also have that love for combinations. I like the
combination of red, white and black. It could be red and black, black
and white or all three of them together. Again, individually, I don't
like these colours much.
Future plans
I definitely plan to do
business. Acting is a passion of mine. I would like to keep it there. I
think it will be better for me to not let it become the main commercial
aspect of my life as we all know that it is a little hard in our
industry to make a living solely by working in it.
