2 Shibir leaders held in Rajshahi

Members of Detective Branch (DB) Police arrested two local leaders of Islami Chhatra Shibir from Nawdapara Aam Chattar area of Rajshahi city on Sunday morning.

The arrested, Milon, 28, is the former Sport Secretary of Rajshahi University Unit Islami Chhatra Shibir and incumbent General Secretary of Ward No. 26 of the city unit, and Rashedul Islam, 24, is the President of Islami Bank College Hospital Unit of the organisation and Education and its City Unit Research Affair Secretary.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of police conducted a raid in the area and arrested the duo, sources in police said.

They were involved in sabotage activities in different area of the city.

Meanwhile, they sent to jail following a court order.
