43 held in Rajshahi on various charges

Rajshahi : Police, in an overnight drive from Tuesday night to Wednesday morning detained 43 people from different areas in the city.

men were arrested by the Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) here on Tuesday night to Wednesday morning, a press release from RMP confirmed on Wednesday.

The press release, issued by Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) on Wednesday, said that, teams of four police stations of the city and detective branch (DB) made the arrest.

Of them, 21 were held in Boalia Model police while eight in Rajpara, six in Motihar, two in Shah Mokhdum  and six persons were arrested by the DB police.

Among them 16 were warranted accused, seven held with drugs and 20 involved in other crimes.

During the operation, drugs including Yaba, heroin, hemp and phensidyl were seized.
