15 injured in Rajshahi clash

At least 15 people were injured, including a woman and two local leaders of Awami League, in a clash centering a trifling matter in Baghmara upazila of Rajshahi district on Monday morning.

 

Among the injured, three are: Shahinur Islam Santu, 35, joint general secretary of Maria Union unit Jubo League, AL leader Alam Hossain, 48, and Santu's mother Jahura Bewa, 55, residents of Poyesh Ghosh village.

 

Neighbour Shahjahan Ali interrupted Jahura Beoa to spatter cow stool in their own land. Then some other members of both Jahura and Shahjahan locked into an altercation, leaving 15 people injured.

The injured were admitted to Baghmara Health Complex.

Being informed, police were sent to the spot, said Baghmara Police Station officer in-charge Nasim Ahmed.
