Injured BCL man dies in Rajshahi

Rajshahi: An activist of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) died on Tuesday morning in Mohanpur upazila of the city eight days after he was roughed up by mob.

 

The dead Ferdous Hassan Rana, 30, was son of Hafizur Rahman Bakul, resident of the upazila.

 

On February 12, Mohanpur Upazila BCL President Abdur Razzak along with four others activist, including Ferdous, were beaten by mob in Keshorhaat municipal sadar area while they tried to rescued some drug addict men leaving them seriously injured.

 

The injured were rushed to Rajshahi Medical College hospital, where Ferdous was unconscious during his admission.

 

Officer in-Chrage of Mohanpur Police Station Abul Kashem confirmed the death.
