Language Martyrs Day observed in Rajshahi

Rajshahi: Language Martyrs Day observed in Rajshahi on Wednesday paying tributes to the language martyrs.
Leaders and activists of different organizations brought out Provatferri in the city to mark the day and pay their homage to martyrs.
National flag was kept half-mast in all public, private and semi-government autonomous organizations.
Different educational institutions, organizations and people from all walks of life took part in the Provatferri.
Meanwhile, the district administration took extensive preparations to celebrate the day. Islamic Foundation arranged Quran Khani and Milad Mahfil in the city’s Hetem Kha mosque. Special prayer also offered in religious institutions.
The streets of the city and its important places were decorated with colorful festoons containing Bengali alphabet.
